7. Automation and integration
Wake CFD integrates with HPC schedulers, external orchestration systems, and AI agents. These interfaces support cluster job submission, real-time solver control, conversational case authoring, and live manipulation of the Desktop project model.
Integration paths
Cluster execution Submit Wake CFD jobs to Slurm clusters with resource management, array jobs, and dependency chains. See Slurm integration.
AI agent workflows Connect Claude or compatible MCP clients to author cases conversationally, validate input, orchestrate runs, or attach to an open Wake CFD Desktop session. The agent and GUI can share the same project model, so machine-driven edits appear in the interface for review. See Connect an AI agent.
When to use each interface
| Interface | Use when |
|---|---|
| Slurm | Running parameter sweeps or production jobs on shared GPU clusters |
| AI agent | Exploring case configurations, automating repeatable edits, or controlling a live Desktop project |
For programmatic case authoring without conversational interaction, use the Python API instead.
